Our Story
And Why We Started This VenueWe started by opening Chef Mo’s Cafe in 2015, and our professional catering service quickly got the attention of locals as we offered our Sunday Brunch where people could sample our food and determine what they wanted when ordering our catering services.
After building name for ourselves, we knew the next step was doing something big. We’ve been offering catering services at other venues around town for years, so logically, we started planning to open our own venue.
We took what we’ve learned over the years from what other venues did well and what we could improve on, and thus, South Knox Event Place was born. A truly unique venue that is right in the heart of South Knoxville.
